After being ejected from the game for shoving Detroit Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver, Los Angeles Lakers forward Nick Young won’t be suspended.

Swaggy P has been freed.

After a night where Nick Young shoved Anthony Tolliver after a hard foul, Young will not be punished by the NBA according to the Los Angeles Times’ Mike Bresnahan.

During Sunday night’s blowout loss to the Pistons, Young had went up for a shot at the rim and was fouled by Anthony Tolliver on the play. Young perceived the foul as hard an unnecessary and got up off the ground and proceeded to shove Tolliver right in the neck.

While the foul looked like a normal foul, Young was angry and frustrated about getting knocked to the ground on the play. Tolliver, who was shoved in the neck, did not seek to retaliate but rather tried to explain to Young that he didn’t mean to hit him with such a hard foul.

For acting unreasonable after the foul and shoving Tolliver, Young was promptly ejected from the game, and many suspected that the league would hand down a suspension since he put his hands on another player.

While Young is a player that plays with a passion for the game, he has had trouble keeping his temper in check. Last night it cost him. Fortunately for him, his actions won’t cost him anymore games.
