The nation’s top inside linebacker recruit, Ben Davis, has announced Georgia, Alabama and Notre Dame as finalists for his services.

Things are about to get interesting in the recruiting world. With the playoffs and bowl season upon us, it’s a great time for schools to step up and showcase why they are the program to go to. One of those recruits that every school is after, has named his finalists for his service.

The nation’s top inside linebacker recruit Ben Davis, a five-star recruit, has named the finalists for the schools that he is looking at to play for. As one could imagine with such a top recruit, the schools that he is looking at going to are all top programs in the country.

Those schools are the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, LSU Tigers and the Auburn Tigers. In a Scout.com video, Davis talked about how Georgia is his number one choice at the moment.

"“Georgia is at the top of my list because coach [Kirby] Smart, me and him have a great relationship,” Davis said. “I really enjoyed my visit to Georgia when I took my official. On signing day, I will just see where I feel the most comfortable at, and where I can see myself getting better as a player.”"

With the Georgia Bulldogs hiring a new head coach, many wondered how it would affect their recruiting. Seeing as their coach has the inside track on one of the top players in the country, it’s looking to be a great hire for the program already.

Now a recruit’s mind can change in an instance, but it’s clear that Davis wants to go to a program where he feel that his talents can be highlighted and put on display. If that’s Georgia or any of the other schools, than they are potentially getting one future stud to play football.
