Before the Dallas Cowboys took on the Washington Redskins, Trent Dilfer roasted the NFC East on Monday Night Countdown.

The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins are playing in a Monday Night Football game, which has playoff implications for both teams. The thing is that the NFC East is so bad, both teams are fighting for a playoff spot despite not being very good.

With another below average game set for Monday Night Football, everyone was all in on roasting the NFC East before the game even kicked off. Two people in particular that roasted the NFC East, were former teammates and current Monday Night Countdown colleagues, Trent Dilfer and Ray Lewis.

The two teamed up once for a Super Bowl, and now they’re teaming up to roast the NFC East. Dilfer roasted the NFC the hardest, when he said the winner of the division would be the one that’s the “least bad.”

Those are harsh words, but at the same time those are accurate words. Not one team to date in the division has really done anything to separate one from the other. The Redskins have been a little more consistent as of late, but to prove they are the team in the division, it will take more than just five wins to show for it.

The NFC East as a whole is having a down year and they’re earning every joke that gets made about them. In this case, Dilfer wasn’t joking, he was just sharing a very true reality.
