10. Marc Trestman

When a team is in the process of hiring a head coach, they can’t just rush to a hire, they have to be diligent and make sure that they are exhausting their candidate search, while having a few guys in mind for the job.

Former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman isn’t going to be at the top of many head coach lists at the end of the season, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get an interview.

Trestman was fired by the Bears after he failed to turn the team around, but that doesn’t mean that teams don’t see him as a respected mind in this league. After the Bears fired him, he was quickly snatched up by the Baltimore Ravens this season.

While the Ravens haven’t been great offensively, part of that can be attributed to the massive amount of injuries at the receiver position and eventually to their quarterback, Joe Flacco. In a way, his time in Chicago was similar, as he had to deal with injuries and Jay Cutler having struggles.

In Indianapolis, he could work with quarterback Andrew Luck and perhaps provide some life into a Colts offense that could use it with whoever they bring in at head coach.

With Chuck Pagano being a defensive mind, they will probably want to go with someone that has experience from the offensive side.
