7. Josh McDaniels

Josh McDaniels is still just 39 years old. Despite being fired from the Denver Broncos as a head coach, he has gone back to New England and has seen growth as an offensive play caller. In all likelihood, he’s going to get another job in this league again.

When he took over for the Broncos, he got off to a hot start, but it was clear that he was just too young and not ready enough to be a head coach in this league. He’s still very young and it could be some time before he is a coach again, but it can’t be denied that getting more experience as a coordinator has helped him greatly.

He has helped the Patriots remain a top offense in this league, and there’s no greater chemistry than when he calls a play and Tom Brady executes it with ease. In Indianapolis, he could be a very good option with Andrew Luck at the quarterback position already.

While Luck had his struggles in 2015, having a guy like McDaniels could potentially allow Luck to take that next step as a quarterback. What makes Brady and McDaniels work so well is that Brady is a smart quarterback and the two know what the other wants.

Luck is a smart quarterback too and could develop into that MVP type with the right coach. Chuck Pagano was a defensive mind, and Luck really never got to benefit from a head coach that was offense first, except for when Bruce Arians was interim.

Josh McDaniels is young, but more experienced. Andrew Luck is young, but more experienced. Seeing those two grow together, would create for a pretty interesting dynamic in Indianapolis.
