Background
Madeleine Swann is the daughter of Mr. White (Jesper Christensen), the shadowy head of operations of Quantum, the main global crime organization involved in the films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. After studying at Oxford, she becomes a psychologist at a medical facility in the Austrian Alps, distancing herself from her father’s criminal dealings.
Swann is the primary Bond girl in the film Spectre.
Relationship With Bond
Bond meets Swann at the medical facility where she works, after receiving her location from Mr. White, who commits suicide at the end of their conversation (Swann is later shown a video recording of her father’s suicide by Blofeld).
At the facility, Bond engages in a car chase with Hinx (Dave Bautista), who kidnaps Swann. The pair travel to L’Americain hotel in Moracco, where they find a secret room kept by Mr. White that reveal coordinates of SPECTRE head Ernst Stavro Blofeld’s (Christoph Waltz) desert hideout. On a train to this location, they are again attacked by Hinx, and Bond throws the henchman from the moving train.
Following this, Swann and Bond are escorted to Blofeld’s hideout, where Blofeld captures them and tortures Bond. Swann, after whispering to Bond that she loves him, takes his exploding watch and throws it at Blofeld.
Upon returning to London, where Bond must defeat Denbigh (Andrew Scott) from starting the Nine Eyes initiative, Swann parts ways with Bond due to his life of espionage. Both are separately kidnapped.
Bond is taken to the bombed out MI6 headquarters, where he escapes from his captors and searches for Swann. He finds her, and the two escape by boat before explosives inside the building are detonated. After Denbigh and Blofeld are stopped, one killed and the other apprehended, Bond receives his Aston Martin DB5 from Q and he and Swann drive off into the night.
