17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Lovie Smith locked down his offensive stalwart in the NFL Draft last year, so this time around it’s back to his roots on defense. And if he gon’ do it, he gon’ do it big.

Emmanuel Ogbah out of Oklahoma State is one massive man. At 6’4 and nearly three bills he is just the type of pass rusher off the end that Lovie can use to tear right into Matt Ryan and Drew Brees.

The most impressive thing about Ogbah is how raw of a player he still is. He only started playing football late in junior high and has worlds to go in terms of reaching his potential. Nearly every report out of Stillwater regarding Ogbah talks about how willing he is to learn, and how motivated he is to become the next great Cowboy alumnus.

Much like their position in the draft, the Bucs sit middle-of-the-road in terms of sacks. Ogbah has basically set up real estate in the backfield over the past two seasons, leading the team in sacks both this season (13) and the one prior (11). He’s an instant-impact guy who will not only come in and make a difference in his play, but also via his work ethic. Ogbah is the lead-first kind of player who will motivate an entire unit to elevate its play.
