21. New York Jets

The New York Jets really need to add some talent to the defensive side of the ball. It sounds crazy when you consider the current roster, but times are soon to be changing. Antonio Cromartie is having a poor season on the outside and he is not getting any younger. Darrelle Revis is still a terrific player, but having a great defense in front of him certainly would not hurt the cause. The defensive line is filled with playmakers ranging from Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson, but the linebackers need somebody who can make a difference.

David Harris needs a quality running mate, and Ragland would certainly be that man. The Alabama Crimson Tide standout is one of the best players in college football because he possesses both elite size and instincts, helping him to be a monster against the run. With Harris and Ragland on the inside, the Jets would be a bear to deal with in the run game and could bring a wide variety of blitzes from the outside and the interior. Head coach Todd Bowles would be thrilled with the pick, considering he is a former defensive back and defensive coordinator. If Ragland is there, this is an easy choice.
