30. Denver Broncos

It appears that the Peyton Manning era in Denver is coming to an end, but there are other problems that they Broncos need to worry about. It seems like forever ago that the Broncos have had a running back to trot out to supplement their offense, but that could be coming to an end.

Just like how Aaron Rodgers needed Eddie Lacey to open up the offense, the Broncos could benefit greatly from drafting Ezekiel Elliott to bolster production. Denver hasn’t had a rushing attack since the Terrell Davis era it seems, as there has been a revolving door of backs to come through since.

Elliott is no sure bet, as the Broncos have had backs like Knowshon Moreono, Montee Ball and others they’ve taken a shot with and managed to be productive without any sort of longevity attached. That’s the reservation one would have about the Broncos drafting Elliott in the first round. Todd Gurley’s success in St. Louis takes the edge off of the pressure around drafting a running back in the first round, but Denver’s lack of success with longevity is cause for concern. That being said. Elliott is an elite talent, who could help usher in the Brock Osweiler era more smoothly.
