NFL standings, Week 14: Wild card races on fire
Week 14 NFL standings
The National Football League’s regular season is coming down the stretch. Only the proverbial fourth quarter remains with each team still alive in the playoff race, minus the 2-10 Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately for the folks who root for Cleveland, they are stuck with the most miserable franchise in professional sports.
For the other 31 clubs, hope remains on some level. The divisions are mostly sewn up, with the New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers (already clinched) and Arizona Cardinals almost assured of a division title. The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are still fighting it out in the NFC North, and the other two divisions aren’t even real football.

The main races to watch are in the wild card pictures, especially in the AFC. The Kansas City Chiefs hold the top spot at 7-5, having won six straight games. The Chiefs also finish the season with four games against teams well below the .500 mark, with three of those contests taking place at Arrowhead Stadium. The New York Jets are sixth in the AFC, with the Pittsburgh Steelers hot on their trail. Both teams are 7-5 and while the Jets win the tiebreaker currently, the Steelers face an easier road.
This week, there are plenty of games to keep eyes on. The Steelers are going to Paul Brown Stadium to play the Bengals, while the Cardinals are playing host to the Vikings on Thursday Night Football.
