Report: Jarvis Landry loses temper on sideline
According to a report, Jarvis Landry threw a fit on the sideline during the Miami Dolphins‘ win over the Baltimore Ravens.
It’s been a year of struggles for the Miami Dolphins, as they head toward another disappointing year without a trip to the playoffs. While they haven’t been mathematically eliminated from a spot yet, the odds are long and there’s just no way they’re going to get there.
The team did finally win on Sunday, against the Ravens after a recent slide of losses. While the Dolphins picked up the win on the field at home in front of their fans, one player in particular was not happy during the win and even had a major outburst on the sideline during the game that drew the attention of many.
According to The Miami Herald, Jarvis Landry created a scene on the sidelines Sunday, as the Dolphins struggled to make things happen on offense.
"On Sunday, with the Dolphins’ offense looking like something out of the 1940s, that frustration finally bubbled over for Jarvis Landry. He went off on the sideline after one of the Dolphins’ four failed first-half possessions, several sources tell the Miami Herald. Landry threw his helmet in anger, vented about the Dolphins’ lifeless offense and needed several teammates to calm him down.Even after that, he was visibly upset for some time."
It’s easy to understand Landry’s frustrations with the Dolphins’ offense. With the team having less than a 100 yards through the air, the game was an absolute bore and watching the two teams try to score points was absolutely painful to watch.
Players throw their helmets in anger all the time on the field, but Landry has been prone to these outbursts on the field before, and while he was playing with passion, throwing his helmet and not calming down was probably not the best way to handle it.
He’s a young player and wants to do whatever it takes to win, so it’s hard to blame him for not being happy with the struggles they are going through.
