Here’s a bunch of people who wished Steph Curry had been traded back in 2012

Steph Curry is the MVP of the NBA and might be the best player of his generation — but Dubs fans wanted him gone in 2011-12.

When the Golden State Warriors drafted Steph Curry back in 2009, there were doubts about whether he’d have the assets to develop into a lottery pick star. Of course, usually when a guy is too short or too slow for something, he ends up being a star — just look at Tom Brady at the 2000 NFL Combine for eternal proof of this.

Curry was in that boat when he wa drafted out of Davidson, as he was passed up for Jhonny Flynn by the Timberwolves on Draft night. He has since turned into the best player in the NBA and is well on his way to becoming one of, if not one day the, greatest shooters in basketball history. But while we look at all of his present success and react to that, we tend to forget that there was period of time when Steph was someone Dubs fans didn’t want a part of.

This wasn’t even that long ago, as back in 2011-12, there were issues in the rotation when it came to Curry and guard Monta Ellis. It was Ellis who was the star at the time, and Dubs fans were less than pleased when he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks before the trade deadline that year.

Oh how hindsight is 20/20.
