With big names going off the board, what have been the best and worst deals from the MLB Winter Meetings?

MLB free agency has to gotten off to a hot start at the annual winter meeting, thanks to teams throwing around a lot of money at whatever players they can get to come play for their team.

With each contract, it seems like they continue to get bigger year after year, and this year has been no different for baseball, as staggering amounts of money have been spent thus far.

Whether it’s top pitchers being paid in excess of $200 million, or even the next wave of pitching talent getting paid a lot of money, there has been a fair share of money thrown around, and there’s still plenty of talent left to be paid at the Winter Meetings.

The corner outfield market has yet to heat up, and once those guys start falling off the board, prices will begin to start going up even higher for quality talent that is demand.

It’s taken the work of a couple of teams to really set the market for players with the big money they have thrown out, which will influence the rest of this free agency period and free agency periods for years to come.

There’s no guarantee that any of these big deals that have been thrown out will end up working out for the teams that sign them, and many could very well end up turning into bad contracts.

With some big deals already being signed in baseball, what are the best and worst deals of the MLB Winter Meetings thus far?
