From Steph Curry to LeBron James and all points in between, here’s a breakdown of every franchise’s Most Valuable Player.

The featured image for this post is one of Kevin Durant. That does, in fact, mean that this piece will be making the argument that Durant is the MVP of the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s a debate that can easily go two ways with the stellar performance of Russell Westbrook this season. Whether you rate one of the most reliable and unstoppable scorers the NBA has seen or a triple double machine, it’s often a matter of personal preference. And in all honesty, there’s only a hair between the two when it comes to the Thunder’s most important player.

The often heated debate between the two is coming up.

Before that, thouh, there are plenty of other teams to discuss. While the MVP is easy to choose for some teams, such as LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers or Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors, there are plenty of other franchises where a decision is far harder to make.

That’s what this article is for. To go through the debates of each team, to go past the first name that may spring to mind, and see who the most important player is to each organization.

We’ll start at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and work our way up to the contenders. From a hapless Philadelphia 76ers team who pin their hopes on Jahlil Okafor to the top teams in the West, let’s get started.
