When his son asked for a birthday cake with dinosaur cannibalism on it, James Harrison didn’t think twice.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker and Super Bowl hero James Harrison has made a career out of routinely going above and beyond. Whether it’s returning an interception 100 yards in the championship game, mowing the practice fields in between sets during the offseason, or coming out of retirement to help bolster a roster ravaged by injuries, it’s fair to say that Harrison bleeds black and yellow.

He also appears to be quite the exceptional father as well.

When little James Jr. asked for a – shall we say, unique – birthday cake for his eighth birthday, James Sr. rose to the occasion. He shared a photo of the final product on Instagram, and captioned the image with a caveat: “That’s what my son wanted on his cake!”

Most parents probably wouldn’t be too keen on displaying a T-Rex eating Barney the Dinosaur on their son’s birthday cake, but James Harrison isn’t like most parents. Besides, as this article notes, eight is probably old enough to handle a scene like this, even if it does showcase dinosaur cannibalism. Perhaps the cake signifies the end of childhood innocence, as everyone in their life has experienced that moment when Barney was no longer as fun and friendly as he was obnoxious and just plain weird.

My only question is… can you imagine the look on the face of the cake decorator when she or he got this design request?
