Warriors’ Klay Thompson out vs Boston Celtics
The Golden State Warriors will have to try and keep their streak alive without Klay Thompson.
Things just got a whole lot harder for the Golden State Warriors as they try to keep their undefeated streak alive against the Boston Celtics. After Klay Thompson hurt his ankle against the Indiana Pacers, it was a question of whether or not he would be able to suit up against Boston on Friday.
Well now the Warriors will be without one half of their backcourt, as Thompson will be out against the Celtics on Friday night.
The Warriors have done an incredible job overcoming injuries during their perfect start to the season, as the team has been able to successfully manage for part of it without Harrison Barnes. Losing Barnes was huge, but the Warriors managed to hang on without him.
Now by losing Thompson, the team loses one of their most lethal shooters on the team, and someone that can take over if Stephen Curry is having an off night. Boston isn’t an easy place to play, and the Warriors are going to have their backs against the wall if they’re going to keep their record perfect.
One of the strengths of the Warriors last season was their ability to stay healthy. This season they have had to face some adversity with health.
The fact of the matter is that they are still undefeated, but not having Thompson on Friday night is going to make it even tougher.
