Stephen Curry followed Warriors head coach Steve Kerr at halftime against the Celtics

Stephen Curry and the undefeated Golden State Warriors had a tough task ahead of them on Friday night as they went on the road to take on a gritty Boston Celtics team. Moreover, the Warriors were without Klay Thompson in the matchup, making the task even taller. Even with the Celtics still in striking distance at halftime, Curry still had other things on his mind—like following his head coach on Twitter.

Just minutes after the buzzer sounded at the end of the second quarter, the notification popped up that the Warriors point guard and reigning MVP had just followed head coach Steve Kerr on Twitter:

In fairness, it’s highly unlikely that it was Curry himself who hit the follow button and was more than likely someone on his PR team, but that doesn’t make it any less comical.

For one, the idea of NBA players following people on Twitter at halftime of a game is funny in its own right. But the funnier part is the question as to why was Curry not following his head coach prior to Friday night and why did he or his PR team suddenly decide to change that?

I’m pretty sure that Kerr, who is still recovering from back surgery in the preseason and not on the sidelines with the Warriors, was wondering the same thing when he saw that.
