(3-20). Previous: . Los Angeles Lakers. 2. team. 20.
Over the last 10 games (including the infamous loss to Philadelphia), the Lakers are the worst team in the NBA. Byron Scott and his crew have been outscored by 13.4 points per 100 possessions during that 10-game sample, and the Lakers have lost five consecutive games at the time of this post.

What makes Los Angeles interesting is the Kobe Bryant sideshow, but that overshadows a (much) bigger issue in that Scott seemingly has no idea how to deploy D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and the young assets that the Lakers possess. They are a miserable defensive team (109.5 points per 100 allowed in the last 10) that can not make up for that turn-style play with quality offense, and the Lakers might be more of a joke at the moment than the number one team on this list. That says it all.

team. 93.
After a brief hiatus facilitated by their first win of the season (that came against a tanking rival), the Sixers are back and with good reason. Philadelphia holds a 1-23 record at this juncture of the season, and it would be nearly impossible to remove them from the top spot given that mark.

This was a crazy week in Sixer-land, as the team hired Jerry Colangelo to head basketball operations while (somehow) insisting that Sam Hinkie continue making the decisions. Hinkie’s <a href=. (1-23). Previous: . Philadelphia 76ers. 1
