Allen Hurns breathed a heavy dose of life into the Jaguars offense with an 80-yard touchdown.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are locked in a tight battle with the Indianapolis Colts, but wide receiver Allen Hurns gave them a 16-13 lead over the Colts in the third quarter. The Jaguars offense sputtered throughout the first half, and wide receiver Allen Robinson was even held to no catches while quarterback Blake Bortles looked sluggish. The Jaguars offense has since woken up, though, and Hurns made his second catch of the game count with an 80-yard touchdown.

Hurns caught a relatively short pass from Bortles before juking out two Colts defenders and running all the way to the end zone. Although Robinson has been the Jaguars’ most dangerous receiver this season, but Hurns has also been deadly in the end zone. Hurns came up with his eighth touchdown catch of the season against the Colts.

It remains to be seen whether the Jaguars can hang on to their lead against the Colts, who are still without quarterback Andrew Luck. The Jaguars will climb into the AFC South title race if they can seal the upset win, as they would improve their record to 5-8. This would put them one game behind the Colts, and the Houston Texans will be facing the New England Patriots. The Jaguars offense has shown remarkable improvement in Bortles’ second season, and running back T.J. Yeldon has given the offense the ability to be two-dimensional.
