Lions vs Rams preview, predictions, betting odds, live stream info
Detroit Lions vs. St. Louis Rams
The Detroit Lions have been playing a much better brand of football as of late, even with the devastating loss last Thursday at the hands of an Aaron Rodgers’ Hail Mary. They’ll look to rebound off of that tough divisional loss as they go to the Edward Jones Dome in Week 14 to take on the St. Louis Rams.
Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson seem to have reestablished their rhythm as one of the more dominant passing duos in the league while Ziggy Ansah has quietly been one of the best pass-rushers in the entire league this year. The Rams on the other hand have been floundering lately and will hope that Case Keenum returning as the starting quarterback will help the Todd Gurley led offense find some kind of competency as their defense continues to be incredibly banged up.

Keys to Victory
The performance of Case Keenum is obviously going to be key for the Rams in this game as their offense can’t continue to be as one-dimensional as it has been in recent weeks. However, the more important part of this game is going to be the St. Louis defense getting a pass-rush and playing competent defense with their defense still seriously depleted of high-end talent. If they aren’t able to do that, they won’t stand a chance against Detroit.
For the Lions, the key to victory is also going to be on the defensive side of the ball. Yes, Matthew Stafford has to play well again and continue his connection with Megatron, but the defense could carry Detroit in a big way. The Rams’ offensive line has been troublesome all season while the Lions front-seven has been becoming increasingly dangerous. If they can get after Case Keenum and rush him in the pocket, they could essentially end this game as quickly as possible.

Prediction
Though the Rams definitely needed a change from Nick Foles, I don’t think that Case Keenum is the answer by any stretch of the imagination. With the way that Detroit has played defense lately, Ziggy Ansah and the Lions should be able to really cause St. Louis a ton of problems and, ultimately secure a victory on the road.
Final Score: Detroit Lions: 21, St. Louis Rams: 13
