Marcus Mariota catches 41-yard TD pass vs Jets (Video)

One week after he wowed us with a long touchdown run, Marcus Mariota showed he could catch one as well.
Last weekend, Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota showed everyone what they really wanted to see from him, that being a long touchdown run, much like the ones that he had at Oregon. On Sunday against the New York Jets, Mariota showed us that he has some receiving skills as well.
Late in the third quarter of this one, the Titans and Mariota were not really in a good way, down 27-0 to the Jets. They needed to pull some offensive tricks out of the bag to try and get something going before it’s too late, and that is indeed what they did here.
Mariota split out wide and Antonio Andrews lined up behind center. Now you would think that with someone as athletic as Mariota split out, someone would keep an eye on him.
Well, nope.
So in the last two weeks, Mariota now has a long touchdown run and a long touchdown catch. The Titans might not be lighting the world on fire, but Mariota is finding some special ways to come into his own as his rookie year comes to a close here in 2015.
