Saints vs Buccaneers: Full highlights, final score and more
The New Orleans Saints upended the Buccaneers in Tampa
Entering this game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the hottest teams in the National Football League. At 6-6 they were staring up at a rather unimpressive group of Wild Card contenders, with hopes of continuing to shake up the establishment. After Sunday’s game, a bit of cold water has doused those hopes.
The game itself was a competitive tilt, and one where the Saints always had control. Tampa Bay looked like the Little Engine That Couldn’t throughout the afternoon. They kept driving and driving and driving, but never could get the upper hand. When they were able to find the scoreboard, New Orleans would strike back and keep them at arm’s length.
The biggest moment from the game was Drew Brees tying and the passing Dan Marino for fourth on the all-time touchdown list after firing two strikes to Marques Colston. It’s been a trying season for the Saints, but on Sunday everything was coming up black and gold.
