Todd Gurley slam dunked for a touchdown (Video)

Todd Gurley wanted a touchdown and wasn’t going to be denied by the Lions. 

The St. Louis Rams seem to eternally be a year away from being a year away — but that doesn’t mean they’re not occasionally interesting or entertaining. The largest reason for that is rookie running back Todd Gurley, who appears to be cursed to the same wasted career that Steven Jackson had while he was the best thing about the Rams of the past decade.

Hurley continued to add to his highlight reel rookie campaign with a fantastic touchdown dive against the Lions.

It wasn’t an official slam dunk, but Gurley went full tomahawk dunk to get score:

Gurley once appeared to be the Rookie of the Year hands down at one point earlier this season, but things have cooled off significantly since then. That being said, he’s still the best thing about the Rams and one of the most entertaining rookies of this season.

There’s an argument to be made about Jameis Winston being the Rookie of the Year, but Gurley is at least trying to remain as entertaining as he was earlier in the year.
