Full highlights and results from Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger for the U.S. title at WWE TLC 2015

Jack Swagger returned to confront Alberto Del Rio regarding his newfound alliance with Zeb Colter several weeks ago. Though Del Rio and Colter have since split, Swagger was still coming for Del Rio and was ready to try and win the United States Championship at WWE TLC 2015 in a chairs match.

Both men immediately went outside to grab a chair after the bell and essentially wound up in a sword fight with one another using the chairs. Swagger ultimately gained the advantage, then taking Del Rio to the outside and slamming ADR’s head against a chair. However, Swagger got caught trying to hit a Swagger Bomb as Del Rio stood him up with a chair:

The U.S. champ then took control and set up a chair in the corner. He tried to whip Swagger into it, but the challenger caught himself. ADR wasn’t about to let that slow him down, though, as he promptly hit a Backstabber out of the corner:

Del Rio then went to work with a chair on Swagger’s back. However, Swagger caught the champ as he charged by throwing a chair and catching ADR with it:

The challenger then tried for another Swagger Bomb, but was ready for Del Rio’s counter and almost caught the champion in the Patriot Lock. However, Del Rio escaped and then lured Swagger to the floor where he piled chairs on him:

However, Swagger fought back once in the ring again, countering the Cross Armbreaker. The challenger then found himself in control and locked on a brutal Patriot Lock using a chair:

Del Rio somehow escaped out of the ring and tried to catch Swagger with a dive using a chair, but the challenger caught him off the top rope and hit him with a big slam:

Del Rio wasn’t down long, though, as he used the ropes to his advantage to lock on his signature submission:

That gave ADR the room he needed to get Swagger tied up in the corner where he hit the Double Stomp into some chairs:

Clearly that was good enough for the pin and for Del Rio to retain at WWE TLC.
