3. A Healthy Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck playing through injuries and being injured hasn’t helped the Colts one bit. With him fully healthy, the Colts shined in Pagano’s first three years as head coach. Because of that, Pagano should be retained.

Pagano and Luck work well together. They have commodore and chemistry as any head coach would want with their quarterback. They have respect for each other and both will come away motivated with how the season has gone. While it’s hard to predict who will remain healthy in a future season, a healthy Luck is just what the doctor ordered for the Colts. If he can somehow play this season, it would be important for the Colts, but knowing Luck is going to recover just fine from his injuries should be enough to keep Pagano around.

The Colts are a dangerous team with a healthy Luck under center. His experience in the NFL and his ability to run to extend the drive is key. Yet, Pagano and the rest of the coaching staff will need to make sure he is smarter on those runs.

Pagano shouldn’t be fired due to what Luck has done in the previous seasons. His play brought success and three-straight winning seasons to town and kept Pagano away from the hot seat.
