48. <p>The up and down season for the Buccaneers continues for another week. After Jameis led the team back in Week 13 to get a huge win, they fell to the Saints and took a step back in the Wild Card chase. Minnesota lost, which helped them, but Tampa Bay was unable to pick up any ground on the Vikings and fell another game behind the Seahawks.</p> <p>It’s not like the Super Bowl was a real possibility team for the Bucs this season, but they can taste the playoffs for the first time in years, which will hopefully stick with a hungry young team. They’re hungry, which is great, but they can’t yet close out games or climb back into them.</p> <p>Penalties killed the Bucs on Sunday, as they stopped the Saints a few different times, but committed errors that gave New Orleans the yardage or second changes that they need. That has to change, as Tampa Bay has always had a habit of shooting themselves in the foot.</p> <p>This was never going to be a year where the Buccaneers arrive, but they’re evolving, which is critically important to making sure this team does arrive in the years to come and beyond.</p>.
