Previous: . denver broncos. 5. team. 45.
The Denver Broncos might be 10-3, but there is nothing to be excited about on the offensive side of the ball. Denver is a miserable team when on the attack, mostly because the offensive line stinks, Demaryius Thomas can’t stop dropping passes, and Brock Osweiler looks like exactly what he is; a backup quarterback.

If the Broncos are going to hold onto the AFC West over the Kansas City Chiefs, it will be because the defense does enough over the final three weeks. Denver is on the road this coming Sunday to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, perhaps the hottest team in all the National Football League along with the aforementioned Chiefs and the undefeated Carolina Panthers. After that, the Broncos come back to Sports Authority Field to host the Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers. The odds say that Denver will win the home games, especially now that Andy Dalton appears to be out for that game.

Still, this is a one-dimensional team that must get a lights-out performance from the defense to have any chance at all against a quality team. With the loss, hopes of landing the first seed in the AFC playoffs might have gone out the window, even with the head-to-head tiebreaker over the New England Patriots.
. (10-3)
