Kevin Love is back on the hardwood in Boston for the first time since his injury last spring.
The Cleveland Cavaliers coasted to the 2015 NBA Finals, but lost some key players to injuries throughout the bracket. In the first round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs, Kevin Love dislocated his shoulder against the Boston Celtics in a situation he deemed “a dirty play.” On Tuesday Love and company is back in Boston for the first time since his injury last Spring.
Due to the nature of his shoulder injury and it happening in a questionable way, Love will be motivated for Tuesday’s matchup. Love will want to get revenge on the Celtics for what happened last year and come away with a big win. His injury isn’t the only issue between the two teams either.
Jae Crowder wants an apology from J.R Smith after the Cavaliers player injured Crowder. Between Love’s injury last year and the Crowder-Smith incident this season. This match could easily get out of hand at the first sign of physical action between the side. Don’t be surprised if someone picks up a technical foul in the first quarter or if there’s a scrum in the pre-game festivities.
Love will be motivated to get back at the Celtics on their home court and Crowder’s opinion of Smith and the Cavaliers could lead to some strings of fireworks on Tuesday night. Tensions will be running high between the teams and the littlest incident could set someone off tonight.
