Arizona Cardinals: 7-round mock draft
With the NFL season rushing to a close, it’s the time of the year for mock drafts. Here is the Arizona Cardinals’ seven-round mock draft.
While there’s still a month to play in the season, teams are preparing to put their early draft boards together as they scout players in bowl season and at the Senior Bowl.
By this time of the season, the needs of a team are very apparent and everyone can sort of gauge what types of positions that they are looking at.
For the Arizona Cardinals, 2015 has been nothing but a major success to date, and while they are a top contender in the NFC, there is still plenty of areas that they can improve their team going forward, as they try to sustain the success of recent drafts by their savvy gm, Steve Keim. The team is currently slated to have just six picks at the moment, but that can all change with compensatory picks, and any draft-day trades.
Everyone knows that the strength of the Cardinals on offense is their passing game, but with health concerns at other positions on offense they could probably use pieces there as well. On defense, the secondary is great at taking the ball away, but the team could still use help up front.
When a team is drafting later in rounds, they have the opportunity of being able to select best player and available, and have the chance to plug guys in and tweak some things while not having to worry necessarily about young guys starting, with reliable starters in place.
With the Cardinals looking to remain a top team in the NFL, and build upon their success in 2015, these are the players that they should look at with their picks in 2016.
