Christine Michael signed by Seattle Seahawks
Christine Michael has been signed by the Seattle Seahawks, giving everyone yet another fantasy sleeper running back
Christine Michael must think he’s running he’s circles. After being drafted in the second round of the 2013 draft by the Seattle Seahawks, Michael has sat behind Marshawn Lynch, waiting for his turn to prove himself. Unfortunately, he never got this chance in Seattle, as he was traded to the running back-needy Dallas Cowboys in September.
Things at the Cowboys never worked out for Michael, and now the running bike needy Seahawks are bringing back Michael to spruce up their diminished backfield. With Marshawn Lynch out for the foreseeable future and now Thomas Rawls having been placed on injured reserve after suffering a broken ankle during Sunday’s win. The Seahawks backfield is a mess, and Michael could well be the soap needed.
Like the Cowboys and Seahawks, many fantasy owners are also running back needy. With the ridiculous amounts of injuries in the league right now, Tim Hightower is all of a sudden the number one running back to pick up off the waiver wire. Well, the talented, and yet unproven, Michael could well be the savior for many a fantasy player.
The Seahawks offense has been on fire in recent weeks, with Russell Wilson blowing away everyone in his path. Any running back, who gets plenty of touches, in such an offense will be successful, and there is such a possibility that Michael could be that guy. It is a risk by Seattle, and would be a risk in any fantasy league, but could be a risk that pays off.
