Knicks guard Langston Galloway improbably chased Zach LaVine down and blocked his dunk attempt

Minnesota Timberwolves second-year guard Zach LaVine is one of the most insane dunkers in the NBA, evidenced by his winning of the 2015 Slam Dunk Contest. However, New York Knicks guard Langston Galloway could not care less about what LaVine is capable of doing.

As the Knicks and Timberwolves battled on Wednesday night, LaVine got loose on a fast break and seemed to have an open path to the rim. However, Galloway came sprinting up from behind him and, somehow, swatted LaVine’s dunk away with a huge chase-down block:

As the caption for the video references, there was a very low success rate for Galloway in trying to make that play. However, you have to commend the Knicks guard for trying and just be amazed that he somehow made it happen against one of the best dunkers in the league.

This block actually proved to be quite a big play for the Knicks as they had allowed Minnesota to climb back into a game they once were up big in. This block saved them two points late in the game and allowed them to cling to their victory and pick up a needed win in The Garden.
