Peyton Manning is back at practice for the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos are hoping to get more life out of their anemic offense, and perhaps they have taken a step in the right direction on Wednesday. Quarterback Peyton Manning has returned to practice and could be back by Week 16, already being ruled out by head coach Gary Kubiak after the day’s work was over.

Kubiak benched Manning in the midst of a Week 10 blowout against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he completed 5-of-20 passes for 35 yards with four interceptions. Brock Osweiler has started the four games in the interim and has not been much of an upgrade, struggling with accuracy and reads.

At 10-3, the Broncos only need to win two of their final three games to take a fifth straight AFC West crown. However, Denver needs to score some points before being considered a real contender in the AFC for a Super Bowl appearance. Osweiler will be getting his fifth consecutive start this Sunday at Heinz Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are 8-5 and have a high-powered attack, forcing Osweiler to make some plays if Denver wants to win the game.

It will be intriguing to see whether Manning or Osweiler starts in the playoffs.
