The St. Louis Rams beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in tonight’s Thursday Night Football game.

The St. Louis Rams, who have had one of the league’s worst offenses, put up 31 points on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win 31-23. The game was out of hand from the beginning, as the Rams went into halftime up 21-3. They added to their total in the second half, leaving Tampa Bay without much chance.

Rams quarterback Case Keenum was effective for the Rams, putting up 14 completions for 234 yards and two touchdowns. It was a very efficient game that was badly needed for this struggling team to lead them to a 6-8 record. The Buccaneers dropped to 6-8 as well after multiple turnovers from quarterback Jameis Winston.

Three Stars

1) Case Keenum

Keenum gave the Rams a steady quarterback presence tonight that Nick Foles was not able to do during his starting time this season. The former Houston Cougars star completed 14-of-17 attempts for 234 yards and two touchdowns. They will need more of this going forward to finish the season.

2) Tavon Austin

Rams offensive threat Tavon Austin had himself a solid game receiving and from the backfield. He had three rushes for 34 yards and a touchdown while also catching three passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.

3) Mike Evans

The Buccaneers’ star receiver was one of the lone bright spots tonight for the team. He finished the game with nine catches for a game-high 157 yards.

Odds

The Rams came into this game favored by 2.5 points over the Buccaneers and greatly exceeded the spread.

Next Week

Tampa Bay will be heading back home to face the Chicago Bears while St. Louis will be heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in front of the always dangerous “12th Man.”
