Odell Beckham Jr.: ‘Joker’ cleats unrelated to Josh Norman
By Phil Naegely
Odell Beckham Jr.’s cleats have nothing to do with Josh “Batman” Norman.
Don’t read too much into New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr’s “joker” cleats. They have nothing to do with playing against Carolina Panthers and CB Josh “Batman” Norman in Week 15.
On the other hand, Norman thinks Beckham will be wearing the cleats has a meaning to them uniquely to the game.
"“I was like, man, I’m very much anticipating this matchup,” Norman said to reporters. “Looking at some of the stuff my opponent possesses, man, it’s enticing. It looks very edible.”"
Yet, Beckham Jr. reminded reporters that he wore them in the Giants’ last game as well. “I wore those last week,” he said. The Giants WR has worn different themed cleats throughout the season. Earlier this year he wore Charlie Brown and Snoopy cleats. It’s something that sticks out in the sea of normal cleats and it’s something he likes doing.
Beckham will be focused to haul in another one-handed catch this week and help the Giants succeed as they are still tied for first in the division. Beckham Jr. has wowed NFL fans throughout his career and has just taken it a step further with his unique line of football cleats that he owns.
