Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Lakers

Ending a six-game losing streak on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to put together their first two-game win streak against the Houston Rockets on Thursday. If the Lakers are going to win, though, Kobe Bryant will need to play the way he has over the past couple of weeks.

The superstar who is facing retirement at the end of the season began his 2015-16 campaign very slow, but he has been picking it up recently. In losses this year, he’s averaging just over 12 points per game and in wins, although there are only four, he’s averaging 22 points. He’s looking to repeat the performance he had against Houston in a loss two games ago when he scored 25 points and shot 56 percent from the field.

A rift is arising in the Houston Rockets’ locker room. It’s been rumored that Dwight Howard is unhappy and could be heading out of town soon. If the Rockets lose him, the post play will be up in the air and James Harden will have to do even more offensively.

Harden is having himself a solid season, however. He’s averaging a team-high 29.0 points while also dishing 6.7 assists and grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. Houston will be trying to get over a recent two-game losing streak and it starts and ends with Harden.v
