1. Carolina Panthers

It may seem unwise to bet against the 13-0 Carolina Panthers and, quite frankly, it might be. Even if they weren’t the lone undefeated team in the NFL heading into Week 15, they’ve been one of the most dominating forces in the league on a consistent basis. However, I still like the New York Giants to be the first to take down the Panthers on Sunday.

Make no mistake, there’s nothing that has happened this season that has led me to believe that the Giants are going to go on to win the Super Bowl or anything. The NFC East is every bit as bad as it has looked all year and that doesn’t exclude the G-Men. However, New York has been a team all season that has played up in most of their against good teams and played down to the bad teams on the schedule.

Subsequently, they don’t get much better in the NFL this season than the Panthers. With one of Carolina’s biggest weapons in Jonathan Stewart likely to miss Sunday’s action due to a foot injury, I think that Week 15 is finally the week that Carolina goes down.
