The Atlanta Braves are reportedly getting a ton of interest from other clubs for their recently acquired outfielder Ender Inciarte.

According to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, Atlanta Braves general manager John Coppolella is getting more interest for their recently acquired outfielder Ender Inciarte than the man they sent to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a package deal for right-handed starter Shelby Miller.

The Braves are a rebuilding team and since Coppolella took over as general manager this offseason for president of baseball operations John Hart, there isn’t a trade offer that Coppolella won’t entertain. Before shipping Miller to the Diamondbacks for Inciarte, No. 4 pitching prospect Aaron Blair, and No. 1 Braves’ prospect shortstop Dansby Swanson, Miller had at least three or four teams wanting his top of the rotation type of pitching talent.

In a league that doesn’t have many great leadoff hitters, Inciarte has been put on the forefront of many general managers as a great leadoff centerfielder for their club. Though Atlanta has struggled mightily atop its batting order since the Michael Bourn/Martin Prado/Omar Infante days, the organization might want to see if they can get a solid prospect or two for one of the league’s better leadoff hitters.

Atlanta likely won’t field a very competitive roster in 2016, but are all in on acquiring future assets so that the club can contend once it moves into SunTrust Park in 2017. Should the demand for Inciarte continue to rise, don’t think for a second that Coppolella won’t move their recently acquired outfielder if he thinks that the Braves can get a good prospect or two.

Perhaps Atlanta is fine with rolling with a past-his-prime Bourn in centerfield until promising prospect Mallex Smith is ready to take over in the middle of the summer from AAA Gwinnett.
