The young Knicks fan who cried at the Kristaps Porzingis pick is now rocking a Porzingis jersey
When the New York Knicks selected Kristaps Porzingis out of Latvia with the No. 4 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, there were plenty of skeptics out there regarding the pick. It seemed like a potential mistake to many and others were just upset that he wasn’t a familiar name. However, no one was more upset than the young Knicks fan who was seen crying at the draft. Now, even that crying kid has been converted as a fan of the 7-3 Latvian.
On Friday night as the Knicks took on the Philadelphia 76ers, one fan found the crying Knicks kid in the hallways and, wouldn’t you know it, he just so happened to be wearing a Porzingis jersey:

It’s no secret and something that many people have said before that young kids are frontrunners and this is a fine example. When the pick was made, the young man was reduced to a despondent pile of tears and sadness by the thought of the lanky big man. Now he’s apparently all in on Three 6 Latvia.
Oh how six months, a few putback dunks, and winning the hearts of New York City and the NBA as a whole can change the tune of a young Knicks fan.
