Ellie Day, wife of pro golfer Jason Day, was held overnight at a hospital after LeBron James collided with her during Thursday’s game.

Ellie Day is A-OK, despite suffering concussion symptoms after an unfortunate collision with a 6’8, 250-pound professional basketball player.

Day was sitting court side at Thursday night’s NBA game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Cleveland Cavaliers when LeBron James crashed into her while chasing a ball out of bounds. The accident occurred late in the fourth quarter, and Day had to be taken from Quicken Loans Arena on a stretcher.

Thankfully, Day seems to have made it through relatively unscathed, and sounds like she’s in good spirits in the Twitter update she released Friday. Other than feeling “incredibly sore and exhausted,” and adding that her body “feels like it was hit by a truck,” she suffered no significant damage to her health.

It’s welcome news, especially considering how grave the accident initially appeared on television.

Day was held overnight in a local hospital for observation, but was cleared to leave early Friday morning and return home. She wasted no time in updating her condition to the public, thanking those who sent in messages of concern, and adding humorously that she has officially received “more messages from getting plowed over by LeBron than Jason winning a major. HA.”
