Kristaps Porzings is 7-3, which means Tony Wroten might think twice about trying to score on him next time

Kristaps Porzingis is one of the best stories in the NBA this season. The New York Knicks rookie is one of the most rapidly growing stars in the league with his putback dunks, his shot-blocking, and the general polarization that comes from watching a 7-3 player with his level of skill play in the NBA. He showed off some of the shot blocking on Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Sixers guard Tony Wroten thought it would be a good idea to try and drive to the rim and finish with Porzingis standing in the paint waiting to strike. Three 6 Latvia showed Wroten just how bad of an idea that actually was with a devastating block:

With his size and length, it’s legitimately incredible to watch Porzingis make some of the plays that he does look so routine. Wroten’s attempt to create space is going to work against many big men in the NBA, but Porzingis is just so long that he just reaches out and just obliterates the lay-up attempt like it’s nothing.

If the Knicks rookie continues to develop at the rate that he already has this season, there’s virtually no ceiling for this kid. He has everything a team could want in terms of a potential superstar big man in this league.
