Will Redmond. 57. player. 36.
The basis of what makes the Seattle Seahawks’ defense so tough is their secondary. They want four to five defensive backs who can run, tackle, hit and cover with the best in the NFL. History shows when the pieces are together and healthy in that system, it becomes a herculean task just to move the football, let alone score.

A sore spot for them though has been filling the void left by Byron Maxwell, who departed in free agency for Philadelphia. Veteran addition Cary Williams was a colossal flop while DeShawn Shead and Jeremy Lane haven’t been all that great either. The Seahawks are never shy about continuing to load up at positions that might be deemed strong enough. They prove it again here.

A torn ACL delivered a tough hit to the draft stock of Mississippi State corner Will Redmond, but that can’t overshadow how well he was playing prior to the injury. He’s a good athlete, shows keen instinct in multiple coverages and doesn’t shy away from contact. It won’t be hard at all for a good defensive coach to find a use for him,a nd the beauty is the Seahawks can afford to wait and make sure that knee is 100%
. CB. Mississippi State
