New Orleans Pelicans vs Phoenix Suns

Remember when the New Orleans Pelicans were one of the NBA’s up-and-coming teams a season ago? That seems like lightyears ago now as the Pelicans have been struggling all season long, sitting at just 7-18 through about a third of the campaign.

Even with Tyreke Evans missing 17 games this season, he has finally returned and the Pelicans are just 3-5 since his return — which is actually surprisingly a step up. New Orleans is 4-13 without Tyreke, but it’s looking like they might be on the comeback trail. Anthony Davis is playing tremendous basketball, like always, averaging 23.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.

Phoenix hasn’t been much better this year as the Suns are 11-16 and a game out of eighth place in the Western Conference. Two players have been more than All-Star worthy for the Suns: Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe.

Knight is one of the most improved players in the entire league, averaging 20.3 points and 5.2 assists per game while Bledsoe might be one of the more underrated stars. The latter is averaging 21.7 points and 6.5 assists per game. If the Suns can get some more production from role players, there might be a chance for a playoff push.
