Cowboys’ Byron Jones pops injured knee back into place vs Jets (Video)
Cowboys rookie cornerback popped his knee back into place after an awful injury against the Jets
There have been numerous horrific leg injuries in football this year, both in the NFL and in the college ranks. There looked to be another one on Saturday night in the Week 15 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets suffered by Cowboys rookie cornerback Byron Jones. It turns out, the instant recovery Jones whipped up was even worse than the injury.
Late in the second quarter against the Jets, Jones went to make a tackle down the right sideline when his leg got bent awkwardly and his knee seemingly popped completely out of place. Then, in a move that would make even the strongest stomachs tighten just a bit, Jones just popped the knee back in and went on his way.

That looks just slightly less than comfortable. How Jones wasn’t down just screaming in pain after doing that to his leg is beyond me. Then for him to just adjust it like that and get up in walk just seems insane.
For all athletes who may suffer a serious knee injury at some point in your career (let’s hope you don’t, but still), this is probably not advisable protocol in terms of saving your health. Moreover, you also don’t want to make everyone who sees you do it feel queasy.
