Fantasy Basketball: Is It Time To Pick Up Chandler Parsons?

Is It Time To Pick Up Chandler Parsons?
Chandler Parsons has spent the better part of this season frustrating his fantasy owners. His minutes have been kept low in an attempt to help him rehab and recover from knee surgery. On Friday December 18th he saw his season’s highest minutes at 32. As a result of those minutes he put up 16 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and a steal. It was easily his best game of the season. His minutes have been steadily increasing over his last three contests and while this may or may not be a sign of things to come, in this day and age if you are not the first to fly to the waiver wire and pick a player up you will lose.
Parsons has the talent and the upside to be a big time player for your fantasy team. If he is not on your wire right now, you may be able to sway his owner to let him go in a buy low type of offer. I don’t know if I am sold on the fact the Parsons is all the way back, but he is certainly a guy who is climbing back to the top.
Dennis Schroder is another guy who I would be running to the wire and adding to my team today. He is playing well and Jeff Teague is still on the court. Currently Teague is slumping and dealing with a minor ankle injury, but I would think Schroder would be a good play at least in the short-term.
Joffrey Lauvergne is playing well right now and is worth considering picking up. He has scored in double digits in his last three games and has double-doubles in two of his last three. The Nuggets seem to be a bit of a revolving door especially down low, but this could be a pick up that will pay off down the road.
Alex Len is probably a guy who is seriously under-owned in leagues. He has played really well in six of his last eight games. He could in my opinion wind up being a huge pick-up for the second half of the year. If you have anyone to cut I would add Len as quickly as I could. He also makes for a nice trade target in larger fantasy leagues. I like him also in dynasty and keeper leagues and think he could be a nice target in those leagues.
