Cardinals rookie David Johnson went full Beast Mode on the Eagles
The Arizona Cardinals are fighting for a first-round bye and rookie David Johnson is ready to make his first season in the NFL one that ends in the postseason. Not only has he already had a great rookie campaign, but he went full Beast Mode on the Eagles defense in front of a national audience.
In the second quarter of what was at the time a tie game, Johnson busted through the Eagles defense and slipped out of every single tackle on his way to an amazing touchdown.
Just watch, it’s about as Beast Mode as it gets.
Ironically, one of Marshawn Lynch’s most iconic Beast Mode runs ever came against Cardinals last season this late in the year. Johnson turned into a horse once he got into the secondary and from there it was of to pay dirt. You don’t see runs like that very often and Johnson has already proven to be one of the best young Cardinals weapons Bruce Arians has at his disposal.
This season for the Cardinals is one that will no doubt have a special place in the hearts of fans. Johnson might not win a Super Bowl this year but he has the skill to be the feature back the Cardinals have been looking for over the last few years.
