How to bet on the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions.

The Saints are favored by 2.5 points to beat the Lions at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, according to OddsShark. The OVER/UNDER is 51.5.

Both of these teams are completely useless. Both can score a million points but nobody can stop the other one, which might explain why New Orleans is 5-8 and Detroit is 4-9. Neither team is going anywhere except down the proverbial drain, but the offenses led by Drew Brees and Matthew Stafford.

Neither team has been much of a factor throughout the season. Despite being in the fairly weak NFC South, the Saints have never been able to threaten the playoff picture. Meanwhile. Detroit has struggled out of the game, starting the season 1-7 before winning three consecutive games. It has been a rough season in the Motor City.

So who should you bet on? First of all, this is the classic stay-away game. Don’t even think about it. But if you simply can’t help yourself, the trends say you should go with the OVER. In its last six games, New Orleans has seen the total go that way four times. Detroit has also seen the total go OVER in six of its previous nine contests.
