The Panthers survived a scare against the Giants in Week 15

31. 38. 87. Final. 35

The Carolina Panthers remain undefeated, but they earned it on Sunday as the Giants took them to the wire in East Rutherford. It was actually a game that might shake confidence in the Panthers moving forward though as they blew a huge lead and almost lost their undefeated record as a result.

Carolina was leading the Giants 35-7 in the fourth quarter and allowed New York to come back and tie the game in the final minutes of the contest. Of course, Cam Newton led the team back down the field for a game winning field goal that keeps the Panthers record alive and well.

One of the biggest stories from the game was how insane Odell Beckham Jr and Josh Norman were, as they went at it again and again with brutality. It was ugly, dirty and will almost certainly result in a fine for OBJ at the very least. It kept things interesting, but it was a black eye on a game that ended up being one of the best of the week.

Three stars

Cam Newton: 22/33, 305 yards, 5TD

Odell Beckham Jr: 7 receptions, 122 yards

Eli Manning: 3 tackles, 3 solo tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss

Next Week

The Giants will limp into a matchup against Vikings on Sunday Night. The Panthers will look to improve their record to 15-0 against the Falcons, who probably won’t rise up.
