Washington Redskins playoff scenario following Week 15
By Mike Dyce
Here are the playoff scenarios for the Washington Redskins after Week 15 of the NFL season.
The Washington Redskins are in the driver’s seat still for their 2015 NFL season. After handing the Buffalo Bills a beatdown, they’re still atop the NFC East with a 7-7 record.
The New York Giants lost to the undefeated Carolina Panthers to fall a game behind. The Philadelphia Eagles, who enter Week 15 at 6-7, could join the Redskins if they beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football. Given how well the Cardinals have played, that’s easier said than done.
Either way, the Redskins have to feel good about their position in the division and if they win out they should clinch the division. If they win out the New York Giants can’t catch them and they will have beaten the Eagles, ensuring that they won’t catch them either.
The Redskins close the season out with a pair of road games against divisional foes, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. The problem for the Redskins is that they’ve been atrocious on the road. They’re 1-5 away from FedEX Field this season, though they could probably pencil in a win at Dallas since they’re on their fourth quarterback of the season after benching Matt Cassel in Week 15.
