Welcome to the BAE Index:

Gregg Popovich likes George Hill’s bold look

The Spurs traded George Hill to Indiana in exchange for the draft rights to Kawhi Leonard a few years ago, which is a move one would presume they haven’t looked back upon since. That doesn’t mean Gregg Popovich no longer admires Hill’s game, though. His hair game, that is. Here’s Pop admiring George’s new ‘do during their game tonight (h/t @danfavale):

When asked about it postgame, here’s what Pop had to say on the matter (via @CandaceDBuckner):

Kawhi Leonard can do no wrong

Speaking of Kawhi, he’s pretty good at basketballing on both ends of the floor. He held Paul George to a 1-for-14 shooting night tonight, but also contributed 24 points, six boards, five dimes and three steals. Just because he can. Two of his game-high 24 came on this rather absurd, whirling, logic-defying effort (h/t @its_whitney):

Karl-Anthony Towns had his ankles broken by…Kelly Olynyk??

Kelly Olynyk isn’t known for his mad handles, but he put Karl-Anthony Towns on SKATES with this jab-step (via @NBATV):

Kevin Garnett’s tearjerking final appearance in Boston

Kevin Garnett didn’t play tonight, but that didn’t stop him from drawing a standing ovation in his final game in Boston. KG played for the Celtics from 2007-2013, winning his lone championship during his inaugural season in Beantown back in 2008. He was held out tonight in order to rest, but the fans at the Garden appreciated him, nonetheless (h/t @Ananth_Pandian):

Alec Burks submitted his “Dunk of the Year” entry:

Alec Burks? Alec Burks! The Jazz winger has developed into a solid player for Utah over the last couple of seasons, though remains beneath the national radar. Until he did THIS tonight, that is. It’s hard to imagine a better bench celebration. Plus, get a load of Trevor Booker at the bottom of the frame (via @UtahJazz):

The Dunk Truthers are out in full force with this one. “HE DIDN’T TOUCH THE RIM! NOT A DUNK!” Please. This is a dunk of the utmost quality.

Kevin Durant is cold-blooded

The Los Angeles Clippers led the OKC Thunder 99-98 with just a few seconds to go on Monday night. All they had to do to clinch the win was stop the Thunder on one possession. Sadly for the Clips, Kevin Durant has no time for such nonsense. He drilled this 21-footer with six seconds to play, effectively icing the Clippers’ chances of winning (via @BBALLBREAKDOWN):
