Boston Celtics

If you live in Boston, you are used to watching championship-level teams. From the New England Patriots to the Boston Red Sox, every team has sampled success. The same goes for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are rich in tradition with more league titles than every team in the NBA. The most recent championship came just seven years ago. What followed was the breakup of a team that had played against and defeated LeBron James in the Eastern Conference Finals. Not many teams can claim that feat. Eventually, they want to go back.

What the Celtics need is the continued flame out of Brooklyn Nets.

Boston owns the Nets first round draft pick. They received it in a deal which they traded away forwards Paul Pierre and Kevin Garnett. The C’s are guaranteed to get this draft pick because there is no lottery protection on it. Brooklyn is tied for the third-worst record in the NBA. As things are shaping up, their pick could be a top-five selection. Those Irish eyes are smiling about how bright the future could be.

Along with their own first-round choice, and perhaps a pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Celtics will have a bevy of options. They could keep the picks and add some young talent, or trade the picks away for an all-star.
